Concrete Pavement Sustainability Webinar

American Concrete Pavement Association

Overview
The American Concrete Pavement Association's popular webinar series is back! During a brief hiatus, we made some minor modifications to our program and are now returning with the 11th of 16 webinars scheduled for the year. Webinar #11 covers an increasingly popular and timely topic, concrete pavement sustainability.

Course Content
This webinar is designed for those who want to know more about the sustainability of concrete pavements, including an explanation of what sustainability is, what sustainability means in terms of cement and concrete, and how concrete pavements can contribute to sustainable development. Course instructor Leif Wathne, P.E., also provides an overview of the various sustainability-related features and benefits of concrete pavements, as well as "must have" information that every agency, contractor, designer, and other stakeholder in surface-transportation construction should know.

Who Should Participate?
Contractors, agency personnel, consultants, members of academia, and others who are either directly or indirectly involved in the selection, design, construction, or rehabilitation of highways, roads, airports, or industrial pavements.

Date & Time
The webinar is scheduled for 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. (Central) on Tuesday, September 9, 2008. The webinar will last approximately 90 minutes, which includes time for a question-and-answer session following the formal presentation.

Call-in information and other important details will be provided to confirmed registrants on the afternoon of Friday, September 5, 2008. (See registration information below.)
