SILVER SPRING, MD - The RMC Research & Education Foundation announces the availability of a new CD "Research in Support of Sustainable Development." The CD includes all of the Foundation's published reports and studies on pervious concrete, the "Ready Mixed Concrete Industry LEED Reference Guide," and the "Crushed Returned Concrete as Aggregates for New Concrete" final report. The CD was unveiled at NRMCA's Annual Convention and the CONEXPO-CON/AGG Show in Las Vegas last month where over 1,000 copies of the CD were distributed between the two venues.
"Few construction projects are planned today without consideration for how they may utilize materials and practices that make the project more sustainable. Concrete provides many opportunities to help make projects more 'green' and the Foundation is proud to present this new CD of deliverables that demonstrate many of concrete's environmental benefits," said RMC Research & Education Foundation Executive Director Julie Garbini, adding "Many of the reports included on this CD are available for download individually from the Foundation's website. However, combining them together on one CD unmistakably illuminates that concrete has a great deal to offer as a sustainable building material."
Copies of the CD are available by contacting Jennifer LeFevre at 240-485-1151 or at jlefevre@rmc-foundation.org. The mission of the RMC Research & Education Foundation is to support research and educational programs that will increase professionalism and quality in the concrete industry.
