Miami-based Concrete Pump Contractor Operates Florida's Largest Boom Pump

Sermac 5TR62

Sermac America, Inc.

Hugo, Minn. - Sermac America, Inc. recently delivered its largest operating concrete boom pump to C&C Concrete Pumping Inc. in Miami. The pump, a 62-meter 5TR62 that was delivered to the new owners in late August, is the largest concrete boom pump in operation in Florida.

"We have large jobs, so we had a need for a large pump," said Pepi Cancio, Jr., president of C&C Concrete Pumping Inc. "The five-section, 62-meter pump gives us the flexibility we need to cover basically any job, so we have a lot more opportunities."

"With a pump this large, energy consumption can be an issue," added Cancio. "With the Sermac pump, we can pump all the time in low idle. It saves on fuel and on the equipment, and that's important to us."

C&C Concrete Pumping Inc. has one of the largest and newest selections of concrete pumps in Florida.

The company also has the largest in-house finishing crews in Florida, finishing more than one million square feet of flatwork each month. In addition to its Florida locations, C&C Concrete Pumping Inc. has a Texas location, and has announced upcoming locations in Georgia and Louisiana, due to the building slowdown in South Florida.
