GLENVIEW, Ill., - Navman Wireless North America announces new enhancements to its next generation vehicle tracking and logistics software, OnlineAVL2. Providing fleet management functionality, Navman Wireless' new capabilities come only two months after the new software's premiere. The OnlineAVL2 solution now includes three new features: an integrated maintenance module; state mileage reporting, and automated e-mail reporting. Combining this new functionality with real-time vehicle position, activity data collection and high-resolution satellite imagery, Navman Wireless' OnlineAVL2 offers companies the an advanced fleet management solution to increase efficiency and improve business operation.
The new maintenance module of OnlineAVL2 provides a complete overview and detailed summaries of fleet maintenance activities. Reducing downtime caused by breakdowns and other unforeseen mechanical problems resulting from neglected repairs, the module tracks user-defined maintenance activities such as service dates, times, costs and provider. The Navman Wireless OnlineAVL2's integrated maintenance module can track all maintenance needs including oil changes, license renewal, inspection, tire rotation and mileage, to name a few. Managers can specify how the data is reported, (e.g. by date, number of miles or even days on the road). In addition, the maintenance module allows users to pre-set warning periods for alerts regarding fleet service needs.
The OnlineAVL2 also features new state mileage tracking and automated e-mail-reporting functionality. Using specific latitude and longitude data from GPS logs, the software's state mileage reporting eliminates the timely tax requirement of manually tracking mileage by state. With the touch of a button, OnlineAVL2 can automatically produce accurate state mileage reports for every vehicle in the fleet, greatly simplifying mandatory IFTA form completion. OnlineAVL2 also facilitates seamless report generation and distribution with automated email reporting. Using a familiar Microsoft Outlook-like interface, fleet managers can create templates, define reporting frequencies and select multiple recipients for each report, eliminating the need to query the system for data and manually distribute information. Automated email reports can be sent using a variety of format options, including .pdf, .xls, .xml or .csv.
OnlineAVL2 provides fleet managers with the vehicle position and activity details required to effectively manage a mobile workforce. Harnessing the power of high-resolution satellite imagery and high aerial photography, the software provides fleet managers with photo-realistic views of their drivers' actual surroundings, including support for traditional street-level mapping views, as well as top down satellite imagery with street and street name overlay. Additional features include: unlimited two-way messaging to one, some or all vehicles from an office desktop; fully integrated navigation functionality for drivers; comprehensive real-time and historical vehicle/driver activity reporting; Driver ID technology for differentiating individual activity with shared assets; programmable alerts for vehicle speed, idle time, unauthorized movement and security breech, polygonal geofence functionality for defining driver territories.
