PHOENIX, AZ - The Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI) - a non-profit organization for the advancement of post-tensioned, pre-stressed concrete design and construction - has announced the availability of the 2008 Supplement to the Third Edition of PTI's Design of Post-Tensioned Slabs-on-Ground.
The Third Edition was first printed in 2004. Since that time, the PTI Slab-on-Ground Committee has approved two addenda and various errata. The 2008 Supplement incorporates Addenda Nos. 1 and 2, and known errata. In addition, the supplement includes updated design examples to reflect these changes. The related code standards, Standard Requirements for Analysis of Shallow Concrete Foundations on Expansive Soils and Standard Requirements for Design of Shallow Concrete Foundations on Expansive Soils, are included as appendices as a convenience for designers. These standards are referenced by the International Building Code in its provisions for slab-on-ground foundations.

The price of the publication is $48.50 for PTI members and $69.50 for non-members.
