Retriever Heavy Equipment Transport Truck Bed

Retriever loading ramp extension

Up-N-Atom, Inc.

The extension of Retriever's loading ramp and vertical movement of the unique curved deck are powered by the truck's air system, not hydraulics eliminating the need for a PTO and hydraulic system.  With so many fewer moving and wear parts:

  • Maintenance costs are dramatically reduced.
  • Payload capacity is increased, allowing larger loads to be hauled by lighter trucks.
  • Without hydraulics, cold weather service issues, delays and environmental spills are eliminated, increasing uptime and reducing operating costs.
  • The deck design creates one of the industry's shallowest loading angles (10°- 14°), speeding operations and eliminating damage from breakover.  The deck's automatic three-position ramp can be locked in transport mode, adding four extra feet of deck length.
  • Retriever's No Idle System permits the loading and unloading of up to 30,000 lbs. with the truck's engine off, aiding compliance with growing anti-idling regulations.
  • The LoRider option lowers the forward deck's height, already the industry's lowest, an extra 10", allowing larger equipment to fit under more road obstructions, increasing transporter capability and productivity.

Models range from 7.5 to 18 Tons capacities.
