Volvo Rents Announces Its Hardhat Comedy Tour to Begin in Sarasota

SARASOTA, FL - Volvo Rents and nationally acclaimed comedian, Carmen Ciricillo, a.k.a. "The Construction Comic," want to help those in the construction industry forget their troubles ... at least for one night.  In support of Operation Thank You and All Faiths Food Bank, they are inviting the local construction community to enjoy a night of FREE comedy presented by nationally acclaimed comedians.

Featuring Ciricillo and other nationally acclaimed comedians, the Volvo Rents Hardhat Comedy Show will take place on April 20 at the Players Theatre in Sarasota, FL at 838 North Tamiami Trail.  The doors open at 7 p.m. for a reception.  The Hardhat Comedy show commences at 8 p.m.  Seats are limited and will be first-come, first-serve.  To RSVP, call (941) 365-2494.  Attendees are asked to bring three to five cans of food or donations to support All Faiths Food Bank via Volvo Rents' Operation Thank You campaign.  All donations or proceeds will directly benefit All Faiths Food Bank.

"We want to give contractors V.I.P. treatment in a R.I.P. construction market by giving them one free, hilarious night in support of multiple good causes," says Ciricillo, the former humorous "tool man" on the Discovery Channel's Your New House television show.

"Contractors have been hard hit and this is just a little way of bringing some laughter back into their lives", agrees Rick Owens, General Manager of Volvo Rents in Tampa, Fort Myers, Pompano Beach and Port St. Lucie.  Ciricillo has decided to do his stand-up for free for those affected by the sagging economy.  The Players Theatre is donating the venue.

Volvo Rents launched the Hardhat Comedy Tour in November, 2008, in Asheville, NC.  Sarasota is the first stop of the Tour in 2009.  This year Volvo Rents will be taking the Hardhat Comedy Tour to cities in North America to provide free comedy shows to those in the construction industry.
