Menomonee Falls, WI - Wacker Neuson Corp. has donated a liquid-cooled, diesel-powered light tower to The Hanover Center for Trades and Technology, Ashland, VA. The school will use the light tower to assist the students as they learn about innovative technology in the construction equipment industry. The equipment will allow students to have hands-on experience with a machine that is used to create light and temporary power on construction sites.

On June 4, Mike Grevey, district manager for Wacker Neuson, and Ed Filipowski, metro jobsite specialist, donated the equipment through the Hanover Education Foundation for the school for use in the building trades and small engine programs. They plan to visit the school again in the near future to see the students who are interested in careers in the construction industry.

Principal Charles Hurd accepted the donation on behalf of the school. "This donation will be very valuable to our students as they learn many things, including the operation of compact diesel engines, AC power generation and principles of liquid-cooled small engines. We are extremely grateful to Wacker Neuson for their generosity and support of the programs and students in Hanover County."
