China's output of cement is forecast to increase more than 13 per cent this year to reach 1.15 billion tons, according to a report issued by the National Development and Reform Commission.

According to the report, the country's output of plate glass will reach 410 million weight cases, rising about 10 percent.

Total output value of big building materials enterprises will hit 1.1 trillion yuan (U.S. $138 billion) in 2006, up more than 20 per cent.

The report forecasts that sales of building materials will maintain steady growth, and so as the prices. Export of building materials will grow more than 25 percent.
