ANDERSON, S.C., Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Ryobi(R) has introduced a newline of 18-volt lithium-ion power tools, delivering on its promise to offer professional features at affordable prices.

The new Ryobi Lithium tools are an extension of the One+ System, the best-selling consumer 18-volt cordless tool system, and offer complete compatibility with all existing and future One+ tools. The enhanced battery technology powers Ryobi 18-volt tools for twice as long and weighs twenty percent less than a comparable 18-volt Ni-Cad battery. The lithium-ion batteries also reduce the need to recharge during long periods of non-use, holding the charge four-times as long as Ni-Cad batteries.

As part of Ryobi Lithium, Ryobi will introduce three new products; a Battery Upgrade Kit, which will give existing Ryobi One+ tool owners the enhanced performance of a lithium-ion battery, a 2-Piece Lithium Power Drill Kit and 4-Piece Lithium Power Tool Kit. Each will feature the new designated exterior color -- hyper green -- to distinguish the line from the current One+System.
