Introducing ConsensusDOCS 300

AGC of America

One of the more unique additions to the ConsensusDOCS Contract catalog is ConsensusDOCS 300, the "Standard Form of Tri-Party Agreement for Collaborative Project Delivery." All three parties - the Owner, Designer and "Constructor" - sign the same agreement to form a single core management team to collaborate for the advancement of the best interests of the project. Moreover, major specialty contractors as well as design consultants may be included into the core management.

Also known as relational contracting or alliancing, the ConsensusDOCS 300 is the only standard integrated agreement in the construction industry. This contracting method has minimized the risks of delay, conflict and increased costs that are typical during a construction project.

The speakers for the Audio Conference were instrumental in drafting the ConsensusDOCS "Tri-Party Agreement," which is based upon their successful experiences employing this innovative contracting method. They are going to impart to the participants:

  • Advantages of and when to use Tri-Party Agreements
  • Increase efficiency and greatly reduce waste
  • Virtually eliminate RFIs
  • Close liability and communication gaps
  • Share the financial pain and gain of a project
  • Increase quality and safety
  • Specific roles of the owner, designer and contractor to integrate all participants and advance the project at all times
  • Benefits and implications for specialty contractors
