A year-long celebration of quality and innovation brings another drum-style chipper into the world of tree care. Bandit Industries, Inc. is excited to introduce their latest creation, the 15" diameter capacity Model 1490XP.

Bandit, who also celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the original Brush Bandit® chipper this year, began developing this unit after the success of the 12" diameter Model 1090XP drum chipper, introduced in November 2007.

Both units offer a compact size for easy towing and maneuvering, and an oversized drum for smooth, efficient chipping. A larger diameter drum allows a majority of the material to be chipped on the bottom half of the drum and on an angle with the grain of the wood, reducing vibration and fuel consumption.

The Model 1490XP features a 17-3/4" high by 19.5" chipper opening to more than accommodate limby material up to 15" in diameter and engine options up to 142-horsepower. All Bandit drum chippers feature the patented Power Slot system, which allows for greater chip velocity and virtually eliminates plugging.
