Volvo Rents

(ASHEVILLE, N.C.) Sept. 21, 2007 - Volvo Rents, a division of Volvo Construction Equipment North America Inc. offering franchise opportunities in the construction equipment rental business segment, is targeting the Indianapolis area for franchise expansion.

According to InfoTech Market Research and Public Census Data, construction spending in the Indianapolis area is projected to reach $3.8 billion in 2008, ranking it in the top 25 of all markets in the United States, and making it an ideal region for Volvo Rents stores. Volvo Rents stores carry, in addition to Volvo construction equipment, a comprehensive line of essential equipment and tools for the construction, commercial, industrial and homeowner markets.

A team from Volvo Rents' headquarters will host a "discovery day" in Indianapolis for prospective franchise operators on Sept. 27 and 28. To register for the event, call 866-387-3687.

All Volvo Rents centers are independently owned and operated. The Volvo Rents franchise program covers all aspects of an operating business model. In addition to the use of the world-renowned Volvo brand, qualified franchisees are eligible for Volvo's comprehensive financial package that includes fleet financing, working capital, delivery vehicle financing and leasehold improvement financing. The amount of financing for qualified applicants can be significant, and averaging between $4 million and $5 million per store. Applicants generally need a liquid net worth of at least $750,000 per store to qualify for the financing.

Other unique features include Volvo Rents software platform system, operational support and guidance, comprehensive training in systems, sales, service, and management as well as facility design and regional and local marketing. Principal Volvo products for its rental centers include its extensive line of compact excavators and wheel loaders and backhoe and skid steer loaders.
