Construction Uses for the iPad

Since its recent release, the iPad has been generating quite a bit of chatter. Much of the discussion has surrounded the topics of what it can and cannot do, and what the iPad is actually used for. But as the world figures out where this tablet fits into the technology landscape, there have already been companies in the construction industry who see this device as being a valuable tool and are, or have, developed construction-specific apps for the iPad - examples being Vela Systems' construction field software application and Autodesk's SketchBook Pro. Because of this, we decided to take a look at how the iPad can be used by construction business owners. Johnnie Munger, CTO and Co-Founder of diggerslist.com has been using the iPad in the field and joins the Construction Business Podcast to discuss some of the relevant applications the iPad has in the construction industry.
