Mississauga, ON (August 23, 2011) -- EllisDon acquired Looby Construction, specialists in bridge, culvert and dam construction and repair since 1904 from Dublin, Ont. The acquisition supports EllisDon’s corporate goal of continuing to expand its presence in civil work and new markets in the Ontario bridge industry.
Looby Construction’s two key executives, Stan Connelly and Joe Looby, will be continuing their leadership roles in the company. The entire staff of over 100 employees will be staying on, and Looby will operate as a standalone entity within EllisDon’s civil division.
