Power Generation, Conservation Projects Will Support Thousands of Construction Jobs in Virginia

Study reports nine projects, some of which date to 2007, will support more than 14,200 construction jobs through 2015.

Dominion Virginia Power generation and conversion projects will produce more than $3.3 billion in economic benefits by 2015, a study released by the utility concludes.

The nine projects, some of which date to 2007, will support more than 14,200 construction jobs through 2015, according to Chmura Economics & Analytics, the Richmond company that conducted the study.

Once the projects are completed, they will produce annual economic benefits totaling more than $290 million and support more than 750 jobs, the study said.
