Speakers to Discuss 'Financing Growth' at Europlatform Conference

Event organized by Access International and IPAF plans a lineup of successful rental veterans to address key issues September 13, 2011, in Maastricht, the Netherlands, before the APEX show

A strong line-up of experts will discuss the theme "Financing Growth" at the Europlatform access rental conference being held on September 13, 2011 at the MECC in Maastricht, the Netherlands, a day before the start of the APEX show. Europlatform is jointly organized by Access International and IPAF.

In the keynote address "Managing the Growth Cycle," Haulotte COO Alexandre Saubot will discuss what the access rental sector has learned from the crisis and how to better manage business cycles.

Current trends in financing and how to obtain capital investment funds will be covered by Bruce Williams, managing director EAME, JLG Financial Services.

Kevin Appleton, former CEO of Lavendon, will argue that rental companies should use the financial measure return on capital employed (ROCE) to generate sustained profits.

Loxam's Director of Financing Maëg Videau will explain how to make successful acquisitions.

IPAF Technical Officer Chris Wraith analyzes the safety issues associated with adding specialist access units to a fleet and recommends appropriate management procedures to minimize risk.

Rental consultant and former Sunbelt Rental executive Charles Miller will share his expertise on how best to manage a rental sales force.

A panel discussion will round out the conference, which will be held in English, with simultaneous translation into German, Italian and Spanish. A reception will be held immediately after the conference to offer delegates an informal networking opportunity.

"Europlatform brings together the big names in the access industry to look at some controversial and hard-hitting issues affecting the business," said IPAF CEO Tim Whiteman. "As access industry professionals gather in Maastricht for APEX, they should not miss this conference being held at the same venue which will equip them with new insights and strategies."

This is the fifth year Europlatform is being held and it builds on last year's successful event in Madrid. Anyone who owns or manages an access fleet should attend this conference.

Details on how to book, accommodation and getting to the venue are at www.europlatform.info.
