Members of the service department at Volvo Construction Equipment dealer ASC, in Charlotte, N.C., emerged victorious from Volvo Construction Equipment's 2011 Masters Cup Global Competition for dealer service. Tarheels, Scott Cox, Billy Byers, Jimmy Dorton and Volvo's Roberto Bogdanoff acting as the team advisor, prevailed against Regions Europe, Asia and International at the final, held in Eskilstuna, Sweden, on June 28 and 29.
The contest includes a mix of theoretical and practical tasks in seven different stations, including electric and hydraulics and six products such as an EC240C excavator and an A35F articulated hauler. Teams were judged on their technical and parts system skills, as well as on their handling of tools and adherence to Volvo core values.
