Doka Frami Xlife Wins Award

The Fami Xlife forming system wins 2011 Most Innovative Product Award in formwork category at the World of Concrete.

LITTLE FERRY, NJ - Doka has been recognized for its Frami Xlife system with an award for Most Innovative Product (MIP). This is the third consecutive year Doka has won an MIP award. Previous Doka winners are Staxo 100, a high load bearing shoring tower with an integrated ladder, and the Table Lifting System (TLS) an electric powered lifting platform for vertical repositioning of table forms, that eliminates crane time.

An award program showcased annually at the World of Concrete, the MIP award recognizes new and innovative products in the industry. The MIP Program allows attendees a chance to vote for the products they judge as innovative. This year's products were grouped into nine categories, with the Frami Xlife system winning in the formwork category for attendee’s choice.

Doka’s Frami Xlife, the complete system for forming walls, columns and foundations, is light enough to be man-handled, yet strong enough for crane-assisted forming, while producing a smooth concrete finish. Used for residential, commercial or heavy civil construction, the system uses revolutionary Xlife plywood facing that delivers a very high number of re-use cycles with flawless results.

"Frami Xlife was designed to enhance the existing Frami formwork system and provide a smooth concrete surface," said Andrew Mair, Chief Executive Officer for Doka USA, Ltd./Doka Canada, Ltee. "We are honored that the World of Concrete attendees found Frami Xlife to be the most innovative technology, and we will continue to strive to provide formwork solutions."

Frami Xlife is a complete and safe solution for all job site situations. The system assembles quickly – all is needed is a hammer. The system is durable and will provide a high number of re-use with its revolutionary design, making it three times more durable than other plex or birch plywood sheets on the market. Frami Xlife is also available in six different panel widths and four different panel height options, making it suitable for a wide range of supporting dimensions. And the system is easy to use, with the lightest and fastest clamp in the industry, weighing in at only 2.6 pounds. Frami Xlife offers a total solution for contractors.
