Sunstate Equipment announced it is joining the SmartEquip Network. Each of the company's rental locations will connect to Sunstate's suppliers, allowing parts and service technicians to receive real-time electronic product support information, dynamically customized to the specific needs of each individual asset. In addition, users will be able electronically to source parts and other supplies directly from vendors and their dealers, giving rise to significant time savings and accuracy improvements across the supply chain, while helping drive the company's parts inventory management.

Sunstate's Chairman, Mike Watts, notes, "For some time, now, we have considered joining the SmartEquip Network in order to drive both operational and transactional efficiencies throughout our organization. In recent months, we worked closely with SmartEquip to tailor this solution to our specific needs. Together we have defined a go-forward strategy which leaves us confident that we will jointly create efficiencies, for not just us, but also our suppliers, and which will also help us better serve our customers."

"Sunstate Equipment carries a reputation for customer service and efficiency that is well known in the industry, and we are very proud to have been chosen by this important Network partner," adds SmartEquip’s CEO, Alexander Schuessler. "Like our new partner, we are committed to win-win solutions, where benefits brought to the fleet owner are matched by the benefits brought to their suppliers. This is core to our value philosophy, and we are excited about going forward together."
