Transportation-Bill Passage Tops LaHood's Wish List

PEORIA -- In the new year, Ray LaHood's top priority is to get a transportation bill passed.

Speaking to reporters Friday after the official opening of the Ray and Kathy LaHood Center for Cerebral Palsy, he discussed a few of his main goals.

"The biggest thing next year is to get the transportation bill passed. I have the commitment from the president and we need a good, strong commitment from Congress on improving high speed rail."
