ARTBA Academies Provide Accredited OSHA Courses & Training

ARTBA's "Transportation Builder Institute" (TBI) provides the only Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Accreditation Program custom- designed

Washington, D.C. - If you have safety management responsibilities for a transportation construction firm and are striving to build the skills and training you need to ensure your company’s success and profitability, the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) has just the programs for you later this fall. Both will help you achieve your professional development goals.

Under one umbrella, ARTBA's "Transportation Builder Institute" (TBI) provides the only Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Accreditation Program custom-designed for road and bridge construction safety directors and managers. Through our unique bundling of courses and interactive instruction, participants get a big "bang-for-the-buck" during a few days of intensive training. Using our partnership with the National Resource Center for OSHA Training, we are able to provide industry-specific accredited OSHA courses in conjunction with other critical topics.

TBI offerings include:

  • Roadway Construction Safety Academy I (Nov. 16-20 - Washington, D.C.): This five-day program creates a foundation of safety knowledge for company leaders, safety managers, foremen and supervisors. With the OSHA 510 course as its core (a pre-requisite for the OSHA 500 class), participants will learn the OSHA standards covering the construction industry. Participants receive certified First Aid and CPR training, and instruction on how safety impacts profitability.
  • Roadway Construction Safety Academy II (Dec. 7-11 - Washington, D.C. - Prerequisite OSHA 510): This five-day academy is aimed at giving a construction firm highly qualified safety training professionals. Attendees become accredited as instructors through the roadway construction-focused OSHA 500 Instructor Course, which qualifies them to teach the OSHA10- and 30-Hour Outreach classes. The program also includes flagger instructor certification and a package of high-quality training materials for use when participants return to the job.
