How to Extend Pavement Life by Retrofitting Dowel Bars

This webinar will cover the very important aspects of load transfer across transverse joints or random cracks. Dowel bar retrofit has proven to be a cost effective method to provide load transfer for otherwise well performing pavements. Our featured presenter will be John Roberts, Executive Director of the International Grooving & Grinding Association and Vice President of ACPA's Concrete Pavement Restoration group.

This one-hour training program describes the processes used to cut slots in the concrete, place dowel bars, and backfill slots with repair materials. The webinar also includes discussions about how to select suitable projects and locate slots. Slot sawing methods, dowel bar placement, suitable repair materials and other "need-to-know" construction steps also will be covered.

Date & Time ... The webinar is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. (Central) on Thursday, September 24. Although the presentation will last about an hour, we encourage participants to allow up to 90 minutes for questions and other discussion.
