American Concrete Institute Seeks Papers for 2010 Conventions

Topics include adhesive anchors and corrosion resistant reinforcement.

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI - The American Concrete Institute (ACI) is currently seeking papers for sessions taking place during the ACI Spring 2010 Convention in Chicago. and the ACI Fall 2010 Convention in Pittsburgh. Adhesives and Adhesive Anchors
ACI Committees 355, Anchorage to Concrete, and 548, Polymers and Adhesives for Concrete, seek papers for their technical session "Adhesives and Adhesive Anchors for Use in Concrete." This session will take place during the ACI Spring 2010 Convention in Chicago, March 21-25, 2010.

Participants are invited to submit abstracts on topics including, but not limited to, chemical properties and performance of adhesives used for anchoring and attaching to concrete and performance of adhesive anchors in concrete.

Abstracts of 300 words, along with paper title, author name(s), and contact information should be sent to Richard Wollmershauser at [email protected] no later than Nov. 1, 2009.

Corrosion Resistant Reinforcement
ACI Committee 222, Corrosion of Metals in Concrete, seeks papers for its technical session "Corrosion Resistant Reinforcement - Current Performance and Alternative Materials." This session will take place during the ACI Fall 2010 Convention in Pittsburgh, Oct. 24-28, 2010.

Participants are invited to submit abstracts on topics including field and laboratory studies on the performance of current and future reinforcing bars with the goal of understanding the advantages and disadvantages of the materials and the methods to study these materials.
