World of Concrete Announces Crews That Rock Competition

BASF sponsoring competition to recognize the hard working crews in the commercial construction and masonry industries

World of Concrete announces the "CREWS THAT ROCK!" competition sponsored by BASF. Crews are vital to the industry; the hardworking team members that are working with the products, tools, equipment and technologies that are shaping the industry. Crews have always been a huge part of World of Concrete every year – and this year, WOC wants to show the world what great things these crews of the commercial construction/masonry industries have accomplished.

Crews will submit their stories online along with images capturing projects completed in 2011. Projects can be a large mega-sized project, a small community-based endeavor, or a volunteer / humanitarian effort they were involved in, or anything in between. Most importantly, these stories will be shared with the thousands of visitors to the WOC website. Visitors to the WOC website will then vote for their favorite entries.

"Crews that Rock! is such a unique way for crews to be recognized by their peers and reward them for their dedication to improving the communities in which we live," said Jan Aument, Building Systems, BASF.

"We are very excited to launch this contest highlighting what crews have been working on over the past year. We constantly hear stories of these amazing projects happening throughout the country and about the assistance our industry has provided during times of natural disaster, and feel that "Crews the Rock!" will provide an outlet to show the world how vital crews are to the commercial concrete and masonry industries," said Steven Pomerantz, Senior Marketing Manager, World of Concrete.
