OSHA to Hold Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health Meeting

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will hold a meeting of the Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH) May 8-11, 2012, in Washington, DC. ACCSH Work Groups will meet May 8-9, and the full committee will meet May 10-11.

The agenda includes remarks from Assistant Secretary Dr. David Michaels; discussion of the Standards Improvement Project (SIP) IV rulemaking; updates from the Directorates of Construction, Cooperative and State Programs, and Standards and Guidance; a presentation on OSHA surveillance and targeting in the construction industry; and a presentation on the ANSI-ASSE A10.33 - Safety and Health Program Requirements for Multi-Employer Projects Overview.

Meetings will be held in Room N-3437 A-C, U.S. Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Ave., N.W., Washington, DC 20210. The full committee will meet 8 a.m. - 4:15 p.m., May 10, and 8 - noon, May 11. Two ACCSH Work Groups will meet May 8: Backing Operations, 1:15 - 3 p.m.; and Health Hazards, Emerging Issues and Prevention through Design, 3:15 - 5 p.m. Three Work Groups will meet May 9: Injury and Illness Prevention Programs, 8:15 - 10 a.m.; Diversity, 10:15 a.m. - noon; and Training and Outreach, 1- 2:45 p.m.
