The new Dash 3 pavers from JOSEPH VÖGELE AG have been presented with the iF product design award 2013 by the iF – the International Forum Design, Hannover, Germany. The design of the Highway Class machines impressed the jury of experts and renowned designers from around the world. The iF label is an internationally renowned seal of quality for outstanding design.

"As VÖGELE's 'Dash 2' generation had already won the iF award in 2007, the bar was already very high," says Ulrich Ewringmann, Dipl.-Designer (FH) (qualified designer), design partner of JOSEPH VÖGELE AG and managing partner of Dialogform GmbH. "With this in mind, there was really only one possible objective: to significantly increase this edge once again with the new "dash 3" generation. To optimize whatever could be optimized and to implement new ideas in a practically oriented manner."

Good design focuses on people

Ergonomic design, operating safety, but also comfort, pervade all elements of the design. The company created a machine which is designed to minimize the strain on operators during long, hard working days, leaving them free to focus on operating their machines safely and effectively. To further simplify everyday work on the jobsite and enhance safety, the user-friendly ErgoPlus operating system has, for instance, been further developed, gaining some additional useful features: ErgoPlus 3 has a redesigned four-color display with a high-contrast user interface ensuring brilliant readability even in poor lighting conditions. The graphic user interface and all symbols comply with all the latest requirements in respect of product design. Self-explanatory symbols that are understood in all languages allow the operator to work intuitively.

What's more, the driver's seat and the paver operator's console, as well as the screed consoles can now be adjusted even more easily to the operator's needs.

Side panelling affords effective protection from the wind and rain.
