Rental Rates Increased 7% in 2012

Rouse Rental Report measures the biggest increases in backhoes and warehouse/industrial forklifts, which both saw rates go up 0.7% over the past six months

Rental rates increased 7.0% from December 2011 to December 2012, according to the March Rouse Rental Report. The biggest increases were seen in backhoes and warehouse/industrial forklifts, which both saw rates go up 0.7% over the past six months.

Just during the month of December, however, achieved rental rates actually decreased 0.2% on average for the rental companies participating in the Rouse Analytics Rental Metrics Benchmark Service. Rouse Analytics calculates rate change weighted by prior period activity in accordance with the ARA Rental Market Metrics standard.

Rouse also reports used equipment values rising slightly in February
