Each year, the Concrete Foundations Association (CFA) honors the top cast-in-place concrete projects with its Project of the Year awards. CFA member companies submit their projects in one of several categories, including single-family residence, above-grade concrete home, and commercial/multi-family. This year's awards saw the highest number of project entries and the most categories entered in the history of the program.

The Projects of the Year is designed to demonstrate the accepted challenge and delivered results for professional cast-in-place concrete contractors each year. Submissions are received to CFA headquarters and prepared for viewing through the website, www.cfawalls.org. Here, visitors are given the opportunity to review the compliment of photos submitted showing the stages of work and the challenges faced from layout and excavation; to forming and reinforcement; and placement to finished product. Additionally, each submitting company documents the key and often staggering statistics on the projects as well as narratives on the challenges faced and the processes used to overcome the challenges and deliver the quality results.
After reviewing each project, web viewers can select from a rating of 1 to 5 for each of three categories on each project. The ballots cast for all projects are then compared to determine the popular vote for top project in each category and the top overall grand project, a true representation of the impact the projects have among cast-in-place peers and an interested public.
