GMC retail and total sales were up 12 percent and 7 percent respectively year over year in May to the highest mark since 2007. GMC’s core products – Sierra, Acadia and Terrain – all posted May sales gains. For the first five months of the year, the brand is off to its best retail sales start in six years.
Every 2013 Sierra 1500 since February has come standard with Pro Grade Protection, the industry’s best pickup truck coverage. In addition to a five-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty and three-year/36,000-mile bumper to bumper warranty, Pro Grade Protection includes two years or 24,000 miles – whichever comes first – of standard scheduled maintenance.
Terrain had its best May retail sales ever with sales up 7 percent year over year. Total sales of the Terrain are up 10 percent year to date, their best start to a year ever.
“As we prepare for the arrival of the all-new 2014 Sierra, GMC sales growth hasn’t waivered,” said Brian Sweeney, vice president of GMC Sales and Service. “Credit goes not only to a strong lineup of vehicles built to suit demanding lifestyles, but a dealer network that’s built around customer service and dependability.”
