The Safety and Risk Management Council (SRMC) of the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), St. Louis, has added five new titles to its list of Safety Bulletins: Preventing Underground Utility Strikes; Slips, Trips, and Falls; Report Workers’ Compensation Claims Promptly; The Importance of Proper Accident Investigation; and Safe Traffic Management on Construction Sites.
ASCC Safety Bulletins are one or two page papers covering a variety of health and safety subjects of interest to cast-in-place concrete contractors. ASCC members receive new bulletins free of charge. A set of 20 bulletins is available for purchase via the ASCC website.
The SRMC informs ASCC concrete contractors on all aspects of safety, from establishing a safety policy to the proper use of personal protective equipment. Other SRMC publications include the ASCC Safety Manual, ASCC Tool Box Safety Talks and a Safety Management Plan.
