E-Z-GO, a Textron company, announces the addition of Brian Tidwell as general counsel and Cheryl Fremaux as senior director, Information Technology.

In his new role, Tidwell will provide legal leadership, guidance and counsel at the strategic and tactical level for E-Z-GO, reporting to Larry O’Connell, vice president and general counsel for the industrial segment at Textron, E-Z-GO’s corporate parent, as well as E-Z-GO President Kevin Holleran. Tidwell also will serve as general counsel for Jacobsen, a sister Textron company headquartered in Charlotte, N.C.

Tidwell, a native of Birmingham, Ala., comes to E-Z-GO from Bell Helicopter, where he worked for three years supporting Bell’s Customer Support and Services organization and its Supply Chain function. He is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and an Air Force veteran, obtaining the rank of captain before beginning his career in law. He earned his law degree from the University of Alabama and also holds an MBA from Boston College.

“I am thankful for the chance to help E-Z-GO navigate the evolving legal landscape across the many industries that the company serves,” Tidwell said. “I will strive to lend valuable leadership and guidance as E-Z-GO expands its business in new and exciting ways.”

Cheryl Fremaux joins E-Z-GO as senior director, Information Technology. She will lead all aspects of information technology at E-Z-GO, formulating and executing strategies to help the company meet its growth objectives and managing E-Z-GO’s IT talent and resources. Fremaux will report to Holleran and Diane Schwarz, vice president and chief information officer for Textron.

Fremaux has experience in finance, operations and IT, most recently serving as operations manager in Textron’s Finance Shared Services Center. There, she led implementation of several key IT systems across Textron’s enterprise and for specific business units. She also led the effort to create the Finance Shared Services Team at the Textron Global Technology Center in Bangalore, India.

A native of Michigan, Fremaux holds twin bachelor’s degrees from the University of Michigan, one in business administration and another in computer science. Before joining Textron in 2003, Fremaux served as a senior manager for Accenture’s Finance and Performance Management business, and also worked as a systems analyst at Procter & Gamble.

“I am excited about this opportunity to join E-Z-GO as it grows to serve new industries and customers,” Fremaux said. “I look forward to helping the company select, manage and leverage new technologies and systems to help drive that growth.”

“Cheryl and Brian are strong additions to our leadership team, and I know that E-Z-GO will need and rely on their experience and expertise in their respective fields to grow our business and better serve our customers,” Holleran said.
