Magnum Power Products has earned an Exemplary Employer Award from the State of Wisconsin. Gov. Scott Walker’s administration presented the company with the award through the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, a branch of the Department of Workforce Development.

The Exemplary Employer Award is given out annually by the State of Wisconsin to employers who show a commitment to hiring workers with disabilities. Magnum has worked closely with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation to fill open positions within the company. “We know there is talent out there and this program helped us find great workers with abilities of all kinds,” stated Amy Beaman, Magnum vice president of organizational development.

The Governor’s Office, represented by Department of Workforce Development Secretary Reginald Newson, recognized Magnum for its commitment to Wisconsin workers at their Berlin facility on October 16. The Secretary honored Magnum, a subsidiary of Generac Power Systems, for its growing dedication to moving Wisconsin forward through inclusive and honorable employment practices. James Abbey, president of Magnum Power Products, graciously accepted the award from the Department of Workforce Development secretary.

“Magnum prides itself on creating a diverse workplace, and we’re honored to produce quality products and provide great, family supporting work in Wisconsin to employees with all kinds of talents, no matter their workplace needs,” Abbey said.

Magnum and Generac are proud equal opportunity employers and will continue to seek out opportunities to hire disabled workers.
