NAPA Highlights General Sessions at 2014 Annual Meeting

NAPA will offer five general sessions at its 2014 annual meeting held February 2-5, 2014, at the Boca Raton Resort and Club in Florida.

General Session I: Achieving the Impossible

Keynote Speaker James Bradley

The author of the New York Times bestselling book Flags of Our Fathers, James Bradley's writing captures the story of the six young men responsible for raising the flag on Iwo Jima during WWII. Bradley shares the story of these men and how they came to embody the power of "doing the impossible." He inspires us all to overcome the "impossibles" in our life by seeking out challenges, staying committed, and remaining focused.

General Session II: Taking the Wheel: Securing the Market for Asphalt

NAPA will lay out a strategic campaign built around powerful messages that prove the superiority of asphalt pavement. The effort is backed by engineering and science from the National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) and industry-sponsored research projects developed through the Pavement Economics Committee (PEC). This general session will outline the industry's path forward and is a must attend for everyone in the asphalt industry.

General Session III: Bounce: Turning Tough Times to Triumph

Keynote Speaker Keith McFarland

Keith McFarland is the author of the New York Times best-seller The Breakthrough Company, which is heralded as the Good to Great for growth companies. His latest book, Bounce: The Art of Turning Tough Times into Triumph, looks at how leaders can harness adversity to make their organization stronger.

General Session IV: CEO Roundtable

Be a fly on the wall and hear what the future of the asphalt pavement industry holds from the CEOs of leading asphalt producer firms as they discuss industry trends in technology, competition, regulations, and metrics for assessing market conditions. The discussion will be led by keynote speaker and business guru Keith McFarland.

General Session V: NAPA-SAPA Legislative Roundtable

This general session brings together federal and state-level legislative professionals to discuss asphalt-specific legislative issues important to the asphalt pavement industry.
