Larry Keach, territory manager for BOMAG Americas, Inc., names Ruffridge-Johnson Equipment Company, Inc. as an authorized BOMAG road building equipment distributor throughout the majority of Minnesota.  With the exception of the far northwestern and extreme southwestern counties of the state, Ruffridge-Johnson specializes in the sale, rental, and parts and service support of BOMAG’s broad road building line of milling machines, Cedarapids asphalt pavers, CMI RS and BOMAG MPH Series of reclaimer/stabilizers, light and heavy tandem and combination rollers, and pneumatic-tired rollers.

“True asphalt specialists, Ruffridge-Johnson offers a wealth of asphalt equipment experience for the customer,” says John Hood, director of sales, heavy equipment for BOMAG Americas, Inc. “Anytime BOMAG can partner with this type of dedicated distributor, it’s a win for both companies and the contractors in the territory.” Keach adds, “They have been in the asphalt business for years and a Cedarapids paving equipment distributor for decades, so they understand the paving business.”

From asphalt rehabilitation to paving to compaction, Ruffridge-Johnson is now a one-stop shop for BOMAG asphalt equipment. For the rehabilitation contractor, the broad line includes a range of high-performance utility and half-lane milling machines, offering cutting widths from 11.8 to 98.4 inches with power classes ranging from 125 to 590 hp. Regardless of whether the customer needs a machine that excels in road reclamation or soil stabilization, Ruffridge-Johnson has the solution in both the CMI RS and BOMAG MPH Series of reclaimer/stabilizers that offers power ratings from 360 to 950 hp, cutting widths from 96 to 120 inches and depths from 12 to 21 inches.

For the paving contractor, Ruffridge-Johnson offers Cedarapids’ commercial and mainline pavers, material transfer vehicle and devices, and a full complement of BOMAG tandem, combination and pneumatic tired rollers for compacting asphalt mats to spec densities. The product offering includes industry exclusives such as the Cedarapids CR662RM RoadMix, the industry’s only machine that works equally as well as both a paver and MTV to boost machine utilization rates. Offering drum widths ranging from 47 to 84 in (1,194 to 2,134 mm), BOMAG compactors can be equipped with the market’s most advanced Intelligent Compaction System, Asphalt Manager, to prevent mat over compaction.

“I see the commitment BOMAG has for the asphalt industry and its customers, and this is a mutually beneficial relationship that will advance the asphalt market in Minnesota,” says Jon Pederson, president of Ruffridge-Johnson. Scot Ender, sales manager for Ruffridge-Johnson, adds, “We have represented some of these products for more than 50 years, so we have a deep history and knowledge of the equipment, which benefits the customer.”

For more than 75 years, Ruffridge-Johnson has been a leader in offering the highest quality equipment available, backed by superior service. Founded on a principle of personalized service, Ruffridge-Johnson continues that tradition today through the use of the latest technologies that gives customers an edge over their competition.
