Genie announces it will sell, service and provide parts and warranty support for select Terex Construction and Terex Crane products under its new North American Direct 2 Rental (D2R) initiative to allow rental customers easier access to Terex products. Customers can also help reduce their total cost of ownership on select construction and crane equipment by taking advantage of the Genie parts, services and warranty programs through the new initiative.
Genie will offer three of the most popular Terex products in the rental channel through the D2R initiative: the Terex TLB840 backhoe loader, the Terex BT 3870 and the BT 4792 boom trucks. Terex and Genie will add additional products will be added to the D2R initiative in the future.

Powered by an electronic Perkins 1204E-E44TA diesel engine and an optional 4-speed servo power synchro transmission with automatic shifting, the 94-hp Terex TLB840 backhoe loader excels in digging, reaching, lifting and loading applications. The Tier 4i-compliant engine on the TLB840 backhoe loader is designed with EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) technology, which is well suited for lower horsepower engines operating in high-duty applications. With a dig depth of 14′9″ (extended to 18′1″) and a reach up of 18′9″ (extended 21′11″), this backhoe loader is designed with a slew system that provides high torque for easier backfilling and slewing uphill. For high-productivity trenching, this backhoe loader offers 7,958 lbf dipper tearout and 11,892 lbf bucket tearout forces. With a loading height of 11′3″, the TLB840 backhoe loader can easily load high-sided trucks, and with a 10,485 lbf bucket breakout force, a loader lift capacity of 7,291 lbf and bucket capacity of 1.32 yd3, it offers high-capacity production.
The Terex BT 3870 boom truck offers lifting capacities up to 19 US tons (17 t) and is equipped with a 70 ft (21.3 m) boom that provides a maximum tip height of 120 ft (36.6 m). This behind the cab configured boom truck offers operator control accessible from both the left and right hand side of the truck. The crane provides 360° continuous rotation when fitted with the optional front outrigger. A rated capacity indicator with graphical display includes a work area definition feature to assist the operator with safe operation. The BT 3870 boom truck combines excellent lifting performance, ease-of-use and safety into a package appealing to rental and a variety of related markets.
Offering lifting capacities up to 23.5 US tons (21.3 t), the Terex BT 4792 boom truck is equipped with a 92 ft (28 m) boom for a maximum tip height of 144 ft (43.9 m). A behind the cab mounting configuration and dual operator controls provide ease of operation. A rated capacity indicator with graphical display includes a work area definition feature to assist the operator with safe operation. The BT 4792 boom truck is an excellent choice when you need a versatile, user-friendly, field-proven, lifting solution for your operation.
