On July 10, 2014, The Toro Company will celebrate a rare business milestone – achieving 100 years in business. Toro celebrated this special occasion with a 100th birthday party at its booth on March 4 — the opening day of CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014.

“This is our first time having a presence at CONEXPO-CON/AGG, and we are very excited to introduce our line of equipment for the construction market,” said Rick Rodier, Sitework Systems general manager for The Toro Company. “As we celebrate our centennial this year, we believe this significant milestone, and our success, is due to our employees’ and channel partners’ commitment to innovation and serving customers.”
Looking back on the company’s 100-year history, Rick explained that even though The Toro Company is well recognized across the globe from a consumer standpoint, that a majority of their business is centered around professional equipment. “Even today as I stand in front of you, we are a company that derives seventy percent of our revenue from commercial and professional products,” Rick said.
Toro’s yearlong celebration of its 100th anniversary provides an opportunity not only to look back on the company’s notable achievements, but also to recognize the ingenuity and dedication of its employees – and to thank its channel partners and end-user customers around the world for their loyalty and trust in The Toro Company.
