Terex Welcomes New Sales Manager in Latin America

William Santiago has joined Terex Construction, a business segment of Terex Corp., as sales manager to spearhead the company’s sales efforts in the Latin America.

William Santiago has joined Terex Construction, a business segment of Terex Corp., as sales manager to spearhead the company’s sales efforts in the Latin America. In this role, Santiago will focus on growing market share in the region for the company’s construction equipment products, as well as developing new distributor and customer opportunities. Santiago will also work closely with existing authorized Terex distributors to help them continue to meet their customers’ specific equipment needs.

William’s unique skill sets and experiences, acquired throughout his 35 years of working in the construction industry, will enable us to both strategically grow our business opportunities and to foster our customer relationships.”

In this role, Santiago, will represent the entire breadth of the Terex construction equipment line, including Terex Fuchs material handlers and Terex compact construction equipment. The Terex compact construction equipment line includes compact track loaders, skid steer loaders, compact excavators, compact wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, site dumpers and compaction rollers. His initial territory will be focused on Northern South America (includes Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela and Colombia), Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico. According to Gonzalez, Santiago Jr.’s role and responsibilities, as well as his sales territory, will expand as he progresses in this position.

I will use this understanding, as well as my extensive knowledge of the construction and material handling markets, to make a positive impact on Terex Construction sales and support efforts in Latin America.” According to Santiago, one of his priorities in this role will be to leverage the company’s positive brand recognition in Latin America for growing opportunities with its construction equipment products.

Prior to joining Terex, Santiago held various sales positions with JLG Industries, Inc. operations in Latin America, as well as RIMCO, Inc., a Caterpillar dealership based in Puerto Rico, and CASCO Sales Company, a John Deere dealership based in Puerto Rico. He has a BS in Civil Engineering degree from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill., and he has served as Chairman and Vice Chairman of AEM’s (Association of Equipment Manufacturers) Latin America Committee (CELAAC).
