The Ingersoll Rand Road Institute announces its 2006-07 class schedule. Courses are held in Chambersburg, PA, and Phoenix, AZ. Both facilities have a full course curriculum of two- to five-day sessions. Courses start in September and continue through May 2007.
Twenty courses are offered on topics ranging from the application, operation and maintenance of Ingersoll Rand paving and compaction equipment to mechanics training for the company's compactors and Titan and Blaw-Knox pavers. Additional courses are offered for material transfer vehicles and road wideners. New courses this season include a "Train the Trainer" session and an introductory course on hydraulic and electrical system fundamentals.

Chevron's Lubricants University, an educational web site, is introducing a new course, "Fundamentals of Hydraulic Systems", as part of its on-line training portfolio. The module is a self-study, web-based program designed for hydraulic technicians, industrial maintenance specialists and lubricant sales representatives.
The course is designed to increase understanding of hydraulic system components, lubrication procedures and potential hydraulic system problems. It also reviews hydraulic oil performance specifications and trends within the fluid power industry.
