Case Construction Equipment has achieved production of its 500,000th loader-backhoe. The company manufactured the first factory-integrated tractor-loader-backhoe, the Case 320, in 1957. Its current lineup includes five models ranging from 76 to 98 hp with loader capacities from 6,182 to 7,327 lbs.
In another corporate milestone, the Case and Sumitomo partnership, started in 1992, recently delivered its 10,000th Case excavator built on a Sumitomo platform. Currently, 12 CX Series excavators are designed, manufactured and sold through the Case dealer network as part of the Sumitomo agreement.
Mack Trucks celebrates 100 years of operation in the Lehigh Valley region of eastern Pennsylvania. To celebrate, the company hosted an open house at its Assembly Operations in Macungie, PA, on June 19th.

International Truck and Engine Corp., in partnership with SanYang Industry Co. Ltd. of Taiwan, has won a five-year contract worth approximately $400 million for the delivery of up to 5,000 trucks to the Taiwan Ministry of National Defense. Parts and components for the trucks will be built and prepared in the United States and assembled in Taiwan. Delivery of completed vehicles will begin in May 2006.
