Model 40/36 Biomass Chipper

The Model 40/36 whole tree drum chipper is equipped with the same internal drive found on the company's horizontal grinders, along with an extra-wide feed opening, enabling it to aggressively feed brushy tops and limbs. Its 36-in.-diameter by 40-in.-wide drum holds eight knives in a staggered configuration. The IQAN system monitors engine parameters, as well as hydraulic pressures and temperatures, and allows for utilization of remote diagnostics. Power options are available up to a 700-hp Caterpillar or John Deere engine. At 8 ft. 6 in. wide, the compact unit is easily transportable and requires no permits to move. Other features include a wireless remote control and four hydraulic stabilizers.

RP-170 and RP-175 Pavers

Roadtec introduces two new 8-foot pavers. The RP-170 is a rubber-tired machine and the RP-175 features rubber tracks. They replace the RP-150 and RP-155 models. Power is supplied by a CAT C6-6 ACERT Tier III engines, with 174 horsepower output. Fuel capacity of both models has also increased to 95 gallons on the RP-175 and 90 gallons on the RP-170, allowing more hours of work uninterrupted by the need to refuel. New, hydraulically driven cooling fans provide a substantial drop in paver noise emissions for a quieter work environment around the paver. The new slide-out seat design and new operator control layouts are standard.
