Take a look through the next couple of pages for the latest equipment available. You'll find a solid sampling of both new machines and models that have been recently revamped by the manufacturers.

Liebherr R 944 C Litronic
The R 944 C Litronic crawler excavator has a 41.7- to 47.1-ton service weight and offers a 25-ft. 3-in. maximum dig depth with a 53,131-lb. breakout force. It comes equipped with a 258-hp Liebherr D 936 L inline six-cylinder Tier III engine. The LIDEC-Electronic engine management system monitors all performance parameters and varies settings based on a continuous desired/actual comparison. The Liebherr Tool Control adapts the hydraulics to suit the operating parameters of up to 10 different hydraulic attachments, all at the touch of a button.

Atlas Copco HB 2500 Hydraulic Breaker
The 5,512-lb. HB 2500 incorporates Krupp percussion technology, and is suited for carriers in the 29- to 43-metric-ton class. The unit delivers a 550-bpm impact rate. Its PowerAdapt system automatically shuts the breaker down if it receives excessive oil pressure from the carrier, then returns it to normal function once the overflow situation is corrected. Other features include AutoControl, StartSelect, energy recovery and VibroSilenced damping systems.

Komatsu WA500-6 Wheel Loader
The WA500-6 has an operating weight between 71,585 and 74,010 lbs. Its standard 7.4-cu.-yd. general-purpose bucket allows it to load up to 32-ton trucks. Power is supplied by a 332-net-hp Komatsu SAA6D140E-5 Tier III engine coupled with a new large-capacity torque converter and variable piston pumps. Two selectable operating modes enable the engine to adapt to different working conditions. Komtrax technology sends machine operating information to a secure web site via wireless technology.

Genesis XP MAXX Shears
The GXP 660 MAXX is for use on excavators in the 70,000-lb. class, while the GXP 990 MAXX is suited for machines in the 100,000-lb. class. Both models feature a large cylinder with increased stroke, providing power generally found in larger shears. The 660 MAXX generates cutting forces typical in shears for 100,000-lb. machines. The 990 MAXX has the power and speed of shears for 125,000-lb. excavators. Other features include a patented bolt-on piercing tip, dual guide blades and four identical, four-way indexable blades.
