TrakitGPS is a web-based system for the aggregate, concrete and ready mix industry that utilizes both hand-held and hard-mount technology. Its GPS tracking technology enables to-the-minute order tracking, real-time truck mapping and two-way communication for fleet tracking and management, as well as time-stamped reports on all employee activity, including location, speed, status, stops and more.

Two recent offerings further enhance the TrakitGPS capabilities.

The BioTrakit biometric sensor and software solution (shown) is designed to act as a time clock for office workers and drivers who are unable to login to the TrakitGPS vehicle tracking and reporting module. The sensor system works with any USB-equipped PC computer, allowing users to sign in and out by simply touching the sensor with their finger. The system comes with intuitive software for simple setup and operation.

In addition, the TrakitGPS telephone software is now available with a phone menu and navigation maps. Easily accessible through the top right key of the phone, the new menu allows drivers to obtain step-by-step directions to the jobsite using the driver's current GPS location and swap vehicles.

Upgraded Software Delivers High Grade Control Accuracy
Version 10.7 of the Trimble GCS900 grade control system includes new, high-accuracy configurations for dozers and graders using the SPS730 and SPS930 Universal total stations. System versatility is broadened via Satellite-based Augmentation System (SBAS) support. In addition, supporting on-machine software now logs a new productivity data file to assist the contractor for better project tracking and management.

The system also extends the flexibility of the in-cab CB430 control box to include the CCS900 compaction control system and conventional configurations of the GCS300 through GCS600 grade control systems. The system is designed to provide high accuracy 3-D and conventional elevation and slope grade control capability on a single on-machine control box.
