SealMaster offers sealer manufacturing for contractors

Contractors looking to get involved in manufacturing sealer for their own use and to sell to local contractors can avail themselves of SealMaster Industry's sealer manufacturing plants. Plants feature high-shear dispersion design and can emulsify both asphalt-based and coal tar-based emulsions, producing high-quality pavement sealers. Complete product formulations and training are available.

American Highway's Precision 2000 makes round cuts for utility castings

The Precision 2000 Asphalt/Concrete Cookie Cutting Machine cuts a perfect circular hole around utility castings, making it easier to remove them from pavement. Round cuts reduce the amount of material removed by more than 20% vs. square cuts, and the process requires less manpower than traditional methods involving jackhammers and compressors. Crews can make 60 cuts in an 8-, and the blade will make 400 cuts in asphalt; 300 in reinforced concrete.

SK Sweepers introduces Silent Knight at National Pavement Expo

SK Sweepers LLC selected National Pavement Expo in Nashville to introduce its "Silent Knight" parking lot sweeper to the market. The Silent Knight is a single-engine machine. By eliminating the auxiliary engine contractors instantly reduce operating and maintenance costs, increasing what is really important – the bottom-line. Standard features include: stainless steel hopper, gutter broom, beacon light, heavy-duty head and drag arm supports, and formed steel framing.

Changes to Caterpillar intermediate compactor result in new CB-434D model

A result of Caterpillar Inc.'s efforts to improve its high-production, double-drum vibratory asphalt compactor line have resulted in a new model, the CB-434D, which is designed for work on city streets, county roads, lane additions, highway work, overlays, and more. New features include automatic speed control with impact spacing indicator, operator's station with electronic/ergonomic propel lever, vertical yoke frame, 50/50 articulation, five amplitude settings.
