National Pavement Expo West to Offer 20 New Seminars

The Fifth Annual National Pavement Expo West will offer 20 new seminars in its 30-session conference program, according to Loretta Miles, show manager.

"Last year a record number of contractors attended NPE West," Miles said. "We've put together an educational program with 20 new topics, combined with 10 of our most popular seminars, to bring those people back."

Among the new topics are Preventive Pavement Maintenance for Commercial Properties, Job Costing to Greater Profitability, Infrared Innovations, Practical HMA Joint Construction, How to Become a Great Construction Coach, Sweepers: The Cutting Edge of Pollution Control, and Sales Tips for Pavement Maintenance Contractors.

Miles said NPE West also will offer two sessions designed to help contractors keep the money they earn: Make Your Contracts "Enforceable" and You've Earned It: Here's How to Keep It.

"We had a number of requests last year for some legal-focused sessions," Miles said. "These sessions should help contractors improve the contracts they use and guide them when they need to pursue payment."
