Neal Manufacturing Back in Sealcoating Equipment Business

Neal Manufacturing Co., Villa Rica, GA, has re-entered the sealcoating equipment industry, according to owner and president Harold Neal.

A leading manufacturer of sealcoating equipment for more than 20 years, Neal Mfg. sold its paving and sealcoating lines to Ingersoll-Rand/Blaw-Knox in 2000. Neal re-opened its Villa Rica plant in May and currently offers repair parts and service for most Neal and Blaw-Knox spray systems. Neal also has begun manufacturing a line of sealcoating equipment.

Chris Robins, who had been with the company from 1980 through 2000, rejoins as general manager.

Neal Mfg. made its mark in the sealcoating industry with the introduction of the ESSP spray system, a hydraulic piston pump that pumps sealer containing large amounts of sand, in the early 1980s. The ESSP system pumps at rates of 50 to 100 gallons per minute and doesn't require downtime to replenish pressure.

Neal re-enters the sealcoating market with a new logo that Neal says expresses the company's "transition from past to present and symbolizes its renewed commitment to an asphalt sealcoating industry that has long been a part of its heritage."
