Caterpillar's CB22B, CB24B, CB24B XT, CB32B, CB34B, CB34B XW, CC24B and CC34B compactors aim to improve efficiency in the 1.8 mt to 5 mt size class with better visibility, increased drum diameters, multiple frequency vibratory systems and optional ballast additions on some models.
New models to Hamm's H series of compactors include the H 11i, H 13i and H 16i which are available with a smooth drum, padfoot segments or padfoot drum. The 13i is also available with a VIO drum capable of compacting with either vibration or oscillation.
Atlas Copco's Dynapac CA-Series mid-range soil compactors are single drum vibratory rollers which can be equipped with multiple levels of compaction control - basic Compaction Meter with new Active Bounce Control technology to full Compaction Optimizer.
Volvo's SD75 soil compactor's angled frame allows the unit to negotiate slopes of up to 33% while the 66-in.-wide drum remains in constant contact with the ground surface for smooth, uniform compaction. Two drum frequencies compensate for changing soil types and conditions, and there is an optional five-frequency feature.
