Strong-Bolt wedge anchors from Simpson Strong-Tie are specifically designed for optimum performance in both cracked and uncracked concrete; a requirement that the 2006 IBC places on post-installed anchors. Recently, Strong-Bolt wedge anchors in 1/2" and 5/8" diameters received a Category 1 anchor rating, which means these sizes offer even higher load values than before.
