Terex unveils its HR16E compact crawler excavator designed specifically for the rental market. Weighing 10,320 lbs., unit features a 47-hp engine and delivers a 12-ft. 10-in. dig depth and 20-ft. 4-in. reach. The HR16E also features a large cab, load-sensing hydraulics and top-mounted boom cylinders.
The upgraded Doosan 6.3-metric-ton DX63-3 conventional tail swing and 8.5-metric-ton DX85R-3 reduced tail swing excavators now include blade float, multi-function joysticks, color instrumentation panel, Auto-Shift drive system and standard rubber tracks. Horsepower on the DX63-3 has increased by 13.5% compared to its predecessor to 59.4, same as the DX85R-3.
Takeuchi replaced its TB250 with the 12,500-lb.TB260 designed to max out capabilities in a compact excavator small enough to be transported without a commercial drivers license. A reinforced long arm with integrated thumb mount digs 12 ft. 9.4 in. deep.
The Volvo ECR58D and ECR88D short swing radius compact excavators feature a narrow body designed and centrally positioned boom to allow the rear to swing within its track shoe and the unit to work close to other objects. A mono-boom, several arm configurations and blade are available for greater flexibility.
