Aggregate Imaging System
The Aggregate Imaging System (AIMS) uses digital images to classify aggregate for angularity, form and texture.
- Captures digital images of aggregate samples, then compares the samples to a reference database to classify the aggregates
- Image-based analysis removes operator influence and eliminates bias
- Provides aggregate characterization for Superpave sieve sizes from .075mm to 25mm retained
- Stockpile and stockpile blend characterization algorithms provided
